2 Peter 1:16-18
Have you ever been asked a question that made you think so hard you doubted your own faith? It’s happened to me more than once.
Believe it or not this is totally normal. Our minds are so completely finite that we cannot fathom the infinite complexities of the eternal God we serve.
When such a thing happens to me I reach out to God for answers. He gently reaches back delivering just what I thirst for through His Word.
He helps me regroup my thoughts.
He benevolently reboots my faith.
He satisfies my unanswerable questions by substantiating them with truth.
When I asked God for help last week, He sent me Peter. The same Peter He told to feed His sheep. (John 21:7)
Peter told me he was there when Jesus was transfigured on the mountain and heard God’s voice commending His Son. He told me, this is not some crazy story; he, James and John saw it with their own eyes. (2 Peter 1:16-17)
He was also there when Jesus was nailed to the cross. Peter saw Jesus die and witnessed his resurrected body. And it was this glorious resurrected Body that told Peter to feed His sheep.
And last week He did.
He fed me what I needed.
God will meet your need as well. Just ask.
Making Mondays less mundane with a word from the Word.
Looking forward, pressing on and seeking God in every bump and twist in the road.
