Do you recognize the best in yourself, or do you sometimes feel like an impostor?
When the boss tells you, “Great Job”, do you say, “Thank you”, but really think you didn’t deserve the compliment?
Maybe you won a tennis match, or closed a difficult sale, baked a sumptuous cake, raised the most money for your charity, planted your own vegetable garden, or played your lowest round of golf ever! Do you think, ah that was luck, or do you think, by the grace of God that’s really me!
Because those great things you accomplish are the REAL you. They are you at your best.
When we’ve achieved a goal (even if it surprises us) and call it a fluke, we’re not giving God any credit. He made us to do great things. Expect it.
We are God’s handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)
Go out and be great this week. It will be no surprise to God when you do!
