So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in a manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what they had been told about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. Luke 2:16-18
The shepherds mentioned in this verse had just witnessed magnificence.
They were average shepherds doing their average job on an average night when their lives were suddenly changed forever; interrupted by the presence of the Great I Am. The Creator of the universe. God in the flesh. Magnificence.
Their lives would never be the same. They couldn’t contain their excitement. They spread the word; went out and told others about the experience only they could tell because it happened to them.
I too have a story to tell. Unique to me and easy to read. It’s from the book penned on my heart.
