I pulled this up from an old post I wrote a few years ago. It reminded me perspective changes everything. I thought this list was worth sharing again.
I’m thankful for regrets. They remind me to seize God given opportunities.
I’m thankful for the ability to forgive myself so that I may better forgive others.
I’m thankful for the problems that I cannot solve. They bring me to my knees before my Heavenly Father.
I’m thankful for humiliation. It strips me of pride.
I’m thankful for the ability to laugh at myself and laugh hard. It keeps me from taking myself too seriously.
I’m thankful for struggles. They help me to reach forward toward my full potential.
I’m thankful for my weaknesses because in them God shows His strength.
I’m thankful for hurt feelings because I am better able to comfort others who have been in similar situations.
I’m thankful for conviction. It brings me to repentance before my Lord.
I’m thankful for the scars of past sins. They remind me not to go there again.
What if we kept this kind of thankfulness, this perspective change, every day all year long? What kind of difference would it make?
Ephesians 5:20 …..Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
